Jetranger III Float problem ??

11/12/2011 : The JetRanger-III with "Floats", doesn't seem to want to land in Water at all, it bounces back up in the air , no matter how soft a landing or, how much you Throttle down to ease in for a water landing ??? it'' bounce right back up in the air. ?? Jetranger

I only Noticed it on the Blue & White one with floats, I didn't have time to test out all the others ,Saturday Morning ,I had a trainload of fire wood to get cut & split for winter.

I had the same problem, but found it rather amusing. Can you hover at just the right altitude to simulate floating? See, its really a test of piloting skills!

I'll mention you all are working on a fix in the post at the blog.

Here's a fix for the float problem. Simply open the aircraft.cfg inside of the "Bell_206B_JetRanger_III_FL" folder and replace the existing contact points with the following:

First I want to say thank you and congrats on the 206 III release. Regarding the float problem, I am experiencing just the opposit effect, the copter will not float and sinks like a stone. I did attempt to add the recommended changes to the aircraft cfg. but am rejected as not having access. (The "access" problem is yet another frustration). Will you be providing a fix for the float problems?

Has someone missed uploading the new file to http://aussiex.org as I just download it tonight and the file they have sinks like a brick until I did the patch listed above?

No new file was ever submitted, although I will see what we can do about getting it on all the websites it was published on originally.
