Good day,
Is the FS2004 Bell 222 written off? I cannot find any information regarding this except for future models which will be only FSX based.

The FS2004 version is up in the air. FS2004 is 10 years old and not nearly as capable as FSX visually. We also have the Bell 407 with MILVIZ that will be FSX only and that limits our time to port add-ons to a platform that so few use these days. We may come back to the FS2004 version eventually, but it will be quite a long time away if we do. Today, it doesn't take a very expensive computer to run FSX with decent settings. I have an Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 @ 2.53Ghz and 8GB of memory and get about 30-50 FPS depending on location. I upgraded my graphics card at one point for other games, but other than that, this hardware was bought in 2010. The original price was $600. I'm quite surprised with what I have gotten out of what would be considered a low-end machine by today's standards.

Brandon, you are 100% correct with your tech specs of your system and what it is capable of. It is a low end system comparing to the standards of today. I also have an E7200 on "preliminary retirement" inside my desk drawer because of incompatibility with the current updated motherboard, so I'm still running a P4 hyperthreading 3.0 which is ancient.
With a smile I wish to remind you that a low end system in the US definitely won't fetch the same price as in Africa. Duo cores only became the norm here around mid 2011 and your system as it is, are above the average income in my country here.
Thanks anyway for the feedback. Time to dust-off Alan Devin's model and experiment with the FDE again.

That's too bad about the prices over there! I thought a good GPU was pricy here.
The FDE (air file) from our 222 may actually work in Alan's, but I can't make any guarantees. I'm pretty sure that everything that makes it really fly the way it does is done in the air file...the CFG doesn't change much.
And a little bit of trivia...the model we are using is actually made by Alan Devins. It is his, at the time, unfinished version 2 made around 2005-2006.
I wish I could be of more help with this, but we really do not have the time to support more than one platform at the moment.

some tentative date of release of the bell 222 fs2004? flight simulator fs2004 only have been long waiting for this release, thanks
