Having Problems with the Main Site?
We have found that users with certain internet providers may have problems with our website not loading. (this doesn't include the forums)

According to this article, they are currently working on a solution:

http://support.webs.com/webs/topics/webs...load-nuy61

Sorry if you are not able to view the main pages of our website. Hopefully this problem will be worked out soon. Just to see, how many of you are actually getting a time-out when visiting the home page of the ERS site?

RE: Having Problems with the Main Site?
Judging by the comments on the page (and the fact I can access it again), it looks like AT&T finally fixed it.

That only took 4 days. Annoyed

RE: Having Problems with the Main Site?
This happened in January so it's a bit late for a report, but here's the story as I can remember it... (It happened quite a while ago)

This problem was caused be AT&T blocking transit to sub-domains of webs.com. So any connection that was routed through AT&T to webs.com was being stopped before it even hit any of webs.com's servers. At the time this happened I was hosting the forums and webs.com hosted everything else. As I host the whole site now, the chances of this happening again are pretty much 0%. If it were to somehow happen again, I can simply spin-up a new VPS in one of Linode's other datacenters using the latest snapshot I have.

I originally wrote out a whole long thing, but I realized you could click on the link to see the full story of how it happened. This is an easy to read, condensed version of the story. How it happened to webs, and how I can fix it if it somehow happens to me. Straight to the point.

RE: Having Problems with the Main Site?
Interesting. Nice to not have to deal with webs.com anymore. I feel like I actually have control over my website with you hosting. Big Grin
